Kaitlyn Bodily Therapist in Nashville

Kaitlyn Bodily

BA; she/her
marriage & family therapy graduate student

I am passionate about collaborating with my clients to deepen their understanding of themselves, cultivate a sense of empowerment, and create meaningful changes internally and externally. I also love helping folks work through obstacles to their sexual wellbeing, so they can reclaim desire and pleasure.

I also believe that…

  • Relationships are the heartbeat of being human, and we are ALL, in some way, in relationship with each other. Therapy that takes a primarily individualistic lens misses out on critical context that could make the experience much more valuable. I want to support you in exploring the relationships and systems you’re a part of, while we also work on deepening your relationship with yourself.

  • One of the most important factors to a valuable therapy experience is strong connection and trust. Consider me your co-conspirator in designing and aligning with the life that YOU envision for yourself. I want therapy to feel collaborative, conversational, and not intimidating. You’re in charge of the speed and direction of therapy, and I’ll work to earn your trust so that I can help steer the process, and challenge you when it’s appropriate.

  • It’s necessary to explore both the root cause AND the here-and-now of your issues and patterns. In therapy, we’ll dive into the deep introspective work of identifying the root cause of your concerns and healing what needs to be healed. And I also want you to feel empowered in the present by learning and strengthening skills that can support you in feeling better even as that healing is in progress. Finding ways to stay grounded while doing the deeper exploration strikes a balance can make therapy most effective in both the short term and the long run.

My purpose with The Gaia Center is to create a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space to support you in the process of healing and discovery. Good therapy (which requires a genuine connection with your therapist) can help you heal from your past, connect more deeply in the present, and step toward the most whole version of you.

I work with both individuals (adults & teens) and couples navigating trauma, anxiety and depression. I am also passionate about working with women’s issues, healthy relationship skills, and addressing sexual challenges.

Human First…

When I’m not working, you’ll often find me reading, cooking, and hiking. I also enjoy any reality tv show about finding love. I love spending time with my husband and dog Rusty. A perfect weekend would be exploring a new place, browsing an antique store, and unlimited sweet treats.
