Jenna Dalfino, Therapist in Nashville, TN

Jenna Dalfino

BA, M.Ed.; she/hers
clinical mental health counseling graduate student

I do this work because everyone deserves to live a life filled with purpose, meaning, and a sense of belonging so that when we reach our final moments, we can look back with gratitude rather than regret.

Understanding ourselves is the first step, and living intentionally with a sense of connection is the next.

Through my own work in therapy, I found the freedom to live authentically and to fully belong to myself, even in a world that pushes me towards something I am not. My goal as a therapist is to help others, regardless of the struggles they’re navigating, find that same freedom.

It would be an honor to walk alongside you in your suffering and support your journey towards building an embodied, fulfilling life.

I also believe that…

  • Your pain tells a story worth hearing. You are worthy of taking up time and space. You deserve to be truly seen and heard. Life was never meant to be navigated alone, whether in moments of delight or despair. What has happened to you, the names of those you've lost, the tears you've cried, and the fears that have kept you awake at night—each of these is sacred. These parts of your life deserve to be seen, honored, and held in safe and compassionate spaces. You and your stories matter. They are an integral part of this world, and we all need them. Even in the hardest moments, hope exists, and healing is possible.

  • By extending compassion to ourselves, we create the foundation for healing. When we embrace our whole selves—the messy, the ugly, the beautiful, and every nuance in between—healing begins to unfold. Being witnessed in our fullness by another can unlock authenticity, allowing us to access the most genuine parts of who we are. With authenticity comes the ability to build deep and meaningful connections with yourself and others. I am here to hold space for you as you explore what more satisfying and fulfilling relationships look like in your life.

  • Healing often means challenging what no longer serves you. Many of us underestimate how systems, culture, and environment shape our identity. The path to liberation frequently involves reexamining societal norms, family expectations, and cultural values that may no longer align with who you are today. While this process can feel daunting, it's also profoundly transformative—you have the power to reclaim your agency. Together, we can redefine the narratives that have been placed upon you.

  • Therapy is a partnership—meaning you have a choice! The process of therapy varies greatly; it is adaptable to meet your unique needs and guided by your voice every step of the way. After all, you are the expert on yourself. Whether you're seeking a more directive approach or something gentler, we'll work together to create a path that feels right for you and your unique needs.

At The Gaia Center, I am here to walk with you through life's most difficult moments, helping you rediscover hope where it feels lost.

Together, we will create a space of trust and openness, allowing personal and collective healing to unfold.

My areas of focus include trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. I am deeply passionate about supporting those navigating chronic illness, helping people heal from religious trauma, and working through the impacts of purity culture, including sexual challenges and sexual identity.

I am enrolled in the Sexual Health Alliances training program, working towards additional certification as a Sex Therapist.

Additionally, I am an adoptee–so if you fall on any side of the adoption triangle and are looking for an informed therapist to assist you in a subject that rarely gets the highlight it deserves, I am here for you.

I strive for an embodied, creative, experiential, and tangible approach to therapy with all my clients. I integrate the whole person—body, mind, spirit, environment, and the interwoven systems that shape our development throughout our lives.

Human First…

When I'm not working, you'll find me snuggled up with my husband, watching Saturday morning cartoons (aka anime!). I'm often daydreaming about snorkeling in Hawaii; my love for "fishies" and underwater sea creatures knows no bounds

I'm either deep in self-reflection crafting my latest poem, or reading the next therapy book or fantasy novel (Fourth Wing, anyone?).

I'm usually covered in DIY hair dye from impulsively deciding it's time for a change. Admittedly, I'd love more travel, adventure, and outside time, but alas, school and scrolling on social media calls…
