Vulnerability requires true courage— and I feel passionate about creating an affirming and compassionate environment that welcomes folks to do their work, whether it’s for the first time or part of their ongoing journey. My goal is to empower my clients to step more fully into their authentic self-expression while developing the tools needed to skillfully navigate life’s challenges.

I believe that:

  • Therapy is a collaborative process, and you are the expert in your own life. I want to empower you as an active participant in your healing journey, inviting your input, feedback, and goals every step of the way.

  • “Holistic” care means addressing mental health via working with the WHOLE person—mind, body, spirit, and the interconnected systems each person belongs to. (And of course, spiritual can mean so many different things, but ultimately it’s about connecting where you find meaning in life.) As appropriate, I integrate mindfulness, gentle movement, and breathwork in my sessions.

  • Curiosity is a catalyst for change and growth. I approach this work with a deep sense of curiosity, inviting you to explore your inner world with openness and compassion. Through this process of self-exploration, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of yourself and unlock new possibilities.

My purpose at The Gaia Center is to foster a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your inner world at your pace. Good therapy can help you heal from the past, feel more present in your day-to-day, and open up possibilities for your future beyond what you’ve thought possible.

I am passionate about supporting adults and teens through navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. Having spent a decade in the corporate world prior to going back to graduate school, I also enjoy working with folks who (currently or formerly) are part of that world. As a yoga teacher, I also incorporate mind-body approaches into my sessions as appropriate.

Human First:

When I’m not working, I enjoy listening to music, going to shows, traveling, nature stuff (hiking, kayaking, chasing waterfalls, etc.), yoga-ing, meditating, gardening, and cooking. I also spend a considerable amount of time training my white german shepherd, Zelda, and snuggling with her as we watch nature documentaries (her favorites are Kingdom of The White Wolf and anything narrated by David Attenborough).
